You have until December 31st to apply and make up up to 5 years of unpaid contributions.
This is what the 2024 budget law provided for young workers who were not of contributory age on 31 December 1995.
The redemption commission can be paid as a lump sum or in installments up to a maximum of 120 monthly installments (10 years) without interest.
Peace treaty: deadline for aid
December is the last day to choose donation-free periods.
This is the additional peace provided by the Budget Act for the biennium 2024/2025.Young workers who are fully employed have the option of cashing out for pension purposes within a maximum of 5 years.
In accordance with the law (Article 1, Paragraphs 126 to 130 of Law No. 212/2023), this option is available to members:
- AGO for disability, old age and survivors (IVS) of workers and its compensation and exclusive forms;
・Special management and separate management of independent activities.
These people must not have seniority or already receive a pension on December 31, 1995.
As mentioned, interested workers can benefit from a period of unpaid leave of up to 5 years, but not on a continuous basis.The only condition is that they must be between January 1, 1996 and December 31, 2023.
The period subject to redemption should be between the first and last credit contribution year.It is not necessary that the first and last contribution for payment or credit be made in the same arrangement as the definition of the period to be redeemed.
This period is not subject to any form of compulsory social security, including compulsory, conditional, voluntary or rescue contributions to the funds applied for, or freelancer funds.Recovery periods shall be treated as equivalent to working periods.
The maximum limit of 5 years is determined without taking into account the periods for which redemption has already been requested in accordance with Act no.4/2019.The two instruments are therefore fully cumulative.
